CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Objectives:

1. To give children ample opportunities for self expression.

2. To teach social co-operation by providing experience in group living.

3. To make children aware of their social responsibilities.

4. To prepare children for better leadership and fellowship.

5. To develop in children high standards of aesthetic sense, ethics, discipline, sportsmanship and social spirit.

6. To give them training in democratic citizenship.

Activities:

Literary Activities: Public Speaking and formal debating are the two main forms of oral expression in which systematic training is given. The school magazine, manuscript magazine serves as a medium for written expression, competitions at Inter KV level in activities like declamation, debate, drama, painting are also conducted for which training is given to the students.

Dramatic & Cultural Activities: Regular training is given in Acting, Dance and Music during CCA periods. Most of these activities culminate on the annual day.

Audio-visual Shows:

Films of educational value are screened with the co-operation of birla science centre and the directorate of field publicity

Scouts & Guides:

Students from class VI and above are enrolled as scouts or guides. There is scouts / Guides Activities for VI to XII Std. Cubs and bulbuls for Primary class.

House System:

To facilitate healthy competitions and co-operation among students, the entire school is divided into house as bellow. Inter-house competitions are conducted in literary and cultural activities and Games and Sports.

The Houses are as follows:
